HAMMERFALL: More Live CD/DVD Details Revealed
September 19, 2003HAMMERFALL guitarist Oscar Dronjak has posted the following message to the band's official web site:
"The setlist on [the upcoming live CD/DVD] 'One Crimson Night' is what we played on pretty much all of the European gigs (there were a few variations as the tour progressed, as always). The three bonus tracks on the CD were recorded during the South American part of the Crimson Crusades last May, and are as follows: 'The Dragon Lies Bleeding', 'Stronger Than All', and 'A Legend Reborn'.
"There will be a very exclusive box set - in the shape of the Templar Shield from the 'Heeding The Call' single - of this release as well, containing both the CD and the DVD, a laminated pass and a Swedish HF-flag. This is only available through Nuclear Blast's mailorder and is limited to 1000 copies (I think). The release date is the same as before, October 20th. Oh, almost forgot: there will be another South American bonus track in the box set as well, but I'm not going to tell you which one just yet. A hint: it's from '98.
"I browsed through the guestbook the other day, and came across an interesting post regarding [singer] Joacim [Cans] speaking Swedish between the songs. The concert on DVD is shown in its entirety, with no editing whatsoever. Joacim's talking (which at some points is quite extensive) is translated and subtitled into English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Polish, so the vast majority of people watching the release will in fact understand what the hell he's talking about. With subtitling of the CD impossible, we decided to edit some of the stuff out and add the three South American bonus tracks as compensation. Hence: if you want to experience the concert exactly the way it played out, get the DVD. If you want to listen to HAMMERFALL and its audience go crazy, get the CD. If you are a real fanatic, get the box set... -)
"Anyway, that's where we stand at the moment. Btw, I went to see 'T3' today, and I was completely blown away! It was easily the best movie I have seen in a long, long time – and I have watched more flicks in the past month than I have the whole year. Highly, highly recommended! I'll be back..."
